AD9361 evaluation system
EPSON tested AD9361 Reference Board (AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ) with our TCXO TG5032CAN as external reference clock, and measured TCXO phase noise and TX LO integrated phase noise, and confirmed whether the noise matches AD9361 data sheet at 800MHz and 2.4GHz.
Reference clock Phase Noise characteristics
Phase Noise data is as follows:
- TG5032CAN 40MHz without Filter
- TG5032CAN 40MHz with Filter
- ADI Expected spec for 40MHz
Conclusion: TG5032CAN 40MHz with Filter is qualified by ADI data sheet.
AD9361 TX LO Integrated Phase Noise
Conclusion: Our measurement result is qualified by ADI spec sheet.
Conclusion: Our measurement result is almost qualified by ADI spec sheet.
The difference is only 0.01 mdeg RMS. at 800MHz.
Conclusion: Our measurement result is almost qualified by ADI spec sheet.
The difference is only 0.05 mdeg RMS. at 2.4GHz
Our result fluctuates slightly up and down, but the trend of characteristics matches.
