What is a Programmable Crystal Oscillator
- A one time programmable quartz crystal based PLL oscillator with a single frequency CMOS output
- Can be programmed by Reps, Distributors, and the Epson Factory
- Drop in replacement for fixed frequency oscillators (Exception: More jitter than an SPXO)
- Quicker delivery than a fixed frequency oscillator
Summary
SG-8101 series programmable oscillators, and SG-9101 series spread-spectrum programmable oscillators.
The new SG-8101 series and SG-9101 series have a wider operating temperature range and 50% lower current consumption than comparable Epson products, while the SG-8101 also has 66% tighter frequency tolerance. Users will be able to program both the SG-8101 series and the spread-spectrum oscillators that reduce spectral EMI emissions in the SG-9101 series with an SG-Writer II programming tool.
